SMALL BATCH ROCHESTER

Rochester has always been a city where golf feels larger than the game itself. Tucked along the rolling hills and winding rivers of upstate New York, it has grown into a place where tradition, beauty, and competition meet. Few cities can match its passion for the sport, and even fewer can boast the same architectural lineage-because here, in Rochester, Donald Ross left his unmistakable touch.

Ross, with his genius for blending challenge and charm, carved four masterpieces into the Rochester landscape - Oak Hill Country Club, Monroe Golf Club, Irondequoit Country Club and Country Club of Rochester all within a ten-mile radius.

Each fairway and green speaks to his philosophy: that a course should feel as though it has always belonged to the land. His designs here are living works of art, as enduring as the game itself-at once welcoming and demanding, subtle and bold.

To play golf in Rochester is to walk through Ross's vision, to feel his hand in every contour and every test. And it is that union-between a city that breathes golf and an architect who shaped its very soul-that makes Rochester not just a destination, but a story worth telling.

Small Batch Rochester is born from that same spirit

The union of a city steeped in golf and the vision of Donald Ross, who shaped its soul through design. Just as Ross sculpted courses that blended seamlessly with the land, this Small Batch creation carries the same philosophy: precision, artistry, and a reverence for tradition. Every line and detail has been crafted with the same care Ross gave to his greens and fairways, a modern tool forged in the image of timeless design.

To hold Rochester is to hold a piece of that legacy. It is more than a putter-it is a tribute to a city that became a hub for the game and to an architect whose influence still guides golfers a century later. Much like Ross's courses, Small Batch Rochester invites you to see golf not just as a sport, but as an experience of beauty, challenge, and enduring artistry.

Rochester, New York is also near and dear to our company. Our own Jon Alongi hails from the city, and the graphic elements of the putter were created by our designer Steve Donegan, who himself hails from the city too.

THE PUTTER

The Rochester is the best of yesterday meeting the best of today. A mid-mallet that blends modern multi-material engineering with timeless blade cues, it pays homage to the genius of Donald Ross, who forever shaped the game in Rochester, New York.

At its core, Rochester balances contrasts. It carries the forgiveness and alignment of a mallet, while maintaining the flow and face awareness of a blade. Its shoulders-drawn from Ross's iconic Turtleback greens-are literally turned over, forming an inverted teacup that cascades into soft, organic back bumpers. The profile feels as if it was carved by nature, water flowing over stone, echoing the rolling hills Ross once sculpted into Oak Hill.

Complex curves and subtle radii combine with a classic "dalehead" silhouette, all executed through our intricate slow-milled process in premium 904L stainless steel. The result is a shape both fresh and familiar-modern performance with roots in tradition.

Paired with our H1 hosel, Rochester offers 35 degrees of toe hang-ideal for players with a natural arc in their stroke. Its new Fine Diamond Mill pattern, with smaller, shallower grooves, delivers a sound and feel that are wonderfully soft, yet alive with feedback.

THe sole

On the sole, front-loaded adjustable weights spread mass toward heel and toe, while the emerald green 6061 aluminum sole plate rebalances weight to the perimeter for improved forgiveness and resonance. The head weighs in at 365 grams, matched with a black stepless shaft and our Toulon Pistol Midsize grip in dark green. Four oak trees are lasered into the sole, symbolizing Ross's four Rochester masterpieces and paying homage to the iconic Hill of Fame on Oak Hill's 13th hole.

THE REST OF THE PACKAGE

Finished in our lustrous Tour Satin Black over high-polished 904L, Rochester reveals its complexity in every curve without a hint of glare. The look is completed with a custom dark green leather headcover, badged with an "R" over a green and cream backdrop, a nod to the awnings covering Oak Hill's clubhouse terrace.

In the Small Batch Rochester, we sought to honor the genius of Donald Ross-his belief in working with the land, shaping beauty from nature, and blending form with function-by creating a putter that feels timeless in the hand yet alive with modern precision.
